Hamster and Friends is a micro indie game studio grew out of a desire to create games that help people explore the practical knowledge behind preparing, adapting, and solving problems in unfamiliar situations through cozy survival simulation games.

After working across academia, tech, and startups in research and full-stack data science roles, the studio’s founder decided to bring that experience into independent game development. Hamster and Friends creates playful adventures inspired by real-world survival and preparedness concepts, developed with input from relevant subject-matter experts.

Our games are designed to encourage curiosity, resourcefulness, and an interest in learning more about the skills people use to navigate the outdoors, emergencies, and everyday challenges.
